Experience: LucAle is a neighbourhood Italian eatery and is located in an hidden alley on Sai Ying Pun’s popular Third Street. It’s named after the two chef’s names Alessandro Angelini (former chef of Shangri-La’s Angelini) and Luca De Berardinis (Operetta). These well-known chefs cook dishes that would be at home in a Michelin-starred restaurant in a laid back setting. Fine artisanal ingredients from Italy are used to create Italian favourites, from homemade pastas to seafood and meat dishes. Enjoy a good wine and excellent Italian food while the chefs are making pasta by hand in the open kitchen.
Kiki & Amèl’s favourites: We tried the Brunch menu with free flow wine, which is great value for money. All the prime cuts of Italian meat are amazing! Burrata ‘Deliziosa’, Bufala Mandala, Traditional homemade Tiramisu, Ravioli, Fettucini con Vongole, Chitarrino al Tartufo.
