Experience: This Samurai-inspired Japanese izakaya is established by Sean Mell, the former chef of Nobu. Sando is the cute word the Japanese use for sandwich. Katsumoto Sando Bar focuses on making the best sandos in town, and it will be hard to find a better choice of over-sized sandwiches with Hokkaido milk bread, Kewpie mayonnaise and tonkatsu sauce. Katsumoto’s name is derived from the film the last Samurai, as you’ll notice in the interior with nice Samurai artifacts.
Kiki & Amèl’s favourites: Impossible sando / Veggie gyozas.
Address: Katsumoto Sando Bar | 67 Hollywood Rd, Central.
